Zhulat (definite form: Zhulati) is a village in South Albania, in south-eastern Europe, on the road Tepelenë - Gjirokastër. It is part of the former Cepo municipality. At the 2015 local government reform it became part of the municipality Gjirokastër. The village is inhabited by Muslim Albanians. Zhulat played a significant role in the creation of the Albanian Nation.

Papa Zhuli

Papa Zhuli, an Catholic priest, is considered the founder of Zhulat, as well as the founder of a version of Kanun, known as "Kanuni i Papa Zhulit" (English: The Kanun of Papa Zhuli) which would be spread later in all Laberia region under the name "Kanuni i Labërisë" (English: The Kanun of Labëria).

Petro Zhulati

A landlord to have lived in Zhulat. He is believed to have lived in the eleventh century. He died in battle whilst fighting against the Byzantine empire. An old folkloric polyphonic song mentions him fighting against Byzantine forces.
