Zahrah Mary Chassib Jaber (19 August 1924 – 9 October 2016), better known as Zara Nutley, was a New Zealand-born British television actress who was best known for playing the role of Ms Courtney, the college principal in the comedy series Mind Your Language and Aunt Eleen in the comedy series Never the Twain.

In Mind Your Language, she was scripted as a sworn, unapologetic single woman and authoritarian feminist, detested and feared by the entire staff and students at the school. She also played the role of Mrs. Jack Attacliffe in the episode "Black Widow" in the 1993 season of the Last of the Summer Wine series.

Death

Nutley died on 9 October 2016 at 92 after years of ill-health residing within a nursing home.
