Overview
It is located in the northern part of Sool, between the provincial capital of Las Anod and the town of Burao.
Demographics
The city is primarily inhabited by people from the Somali ethnic group, with the Jama Siad of the Dhulbahante sub-clan of the Harti Darod especially well represented.
