XO Communications (previously Nextlink Communications, Concentric Network Corporation and Allegiance Telecom, Inc.) is a telecommunications company owned by XO Holdings, Inc (OTCBB: XOHO). Acquisition by Verizon Communications
In a news release dated February 22, 2016, Verizon announced plans to acquire XO Communications' "fiber-optic network business." A combined Verizon-XO offering is expected to be offered in June 2017 by a business unit for small businesses and government markets.
