Early life

Wiltril was born in Miami, Florida and grew up on Miami Beach. At an early age he took an interest in guitar and describes Jimmy Hendrix and Pat Metheny as early influences. He later became fascinated with music production and founded The Fliptones with his production partner David Delazyn. He set up shop near the famous Hit Factory music studio where a friend of his was doing engineering work for rapper Birdman. There, he got the opportunity to play his beats for Birdman landing him 4 songs on the rapper's Five Star Stunna album. Around the same time he met a young Jason Derulo where they became friends and worked on Jason's earlier music. This would eventually lead to their collaboration on Jason's Future History album.

Career

Wiltril played a role in the success of the likes of Jason Derulo, who's single “Don’t Wanna Go Home” became an international hit reaching #1 on the Billboard charts. He also collaborated with K-pop sensations G-Dragon and Taeyang. He produced their single “Good Boy,” which reached No. 1 on Billboard's World Digital Songs chart. The song has over 117 million views on YouTube.

He has also collaborated with Lil Wayne, Ice Cube, Jessica Mauboy, Justice Crew, Drop City Yacht Club and Jake Miller. He has recently received praise by David Guetta for his remix of “Hey Mama.”
