William Likely III (born c. 1995) is an American football defensive back and return specialist. He has played college football for the University of Maryland Terrapins football since 2013. On September 5, 2015, Likely broke a 76-year-old Big Ten Conference single-game record when he returned punts for 233 yards in the season opener against Richmond. He was selected by both the coaches and media as a first-team return specialist and also by the coaches as a first-team defensive back on the 2015 All-Big Ten Conference football team.
