William Dubois (1879-1953) was an American architect. He was a prolific architect in Wyoming and nearby states.
William Robert Dubois designed more than 70 commercial buildings in Cheyenne, including almost all that were built in Cheyenne during 1900 to 1920. He designed more than 100 houses, 27 schools, six churches, and four Carnegie libraries.
He was born in Chicago, Illinois on November 15, 1879.
He trained at the Chicago School of Architecture and worked for architectural firms in Chicago and in Albuquerque before coming to Cheyenne in 1901. He arrived as the supervising architect for a Carnegie Library.
He died May 31, 1953.
A number of his works are listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.
