Wendy Neuss

Biography

Neuss graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1976 with a bachelor's degree in psychology.

Neuss was the executive producer of several TV films starring her then-husband Patrick Stewart, including A Christmas Carol, The Lion in Winter and King of Texas. She produced these films as the president of Flying Freehold Productions, a company she co-founded with Stewart. She was also a producer for the series Star Trek: Voyager and co-producer on Star Trek: The Next Generation. She has also produced the Motown series on the Showtime channel.

Wendy Neuss worked as co-producer, associate producer, and post-production supervisor on American science fiction television series “Star Trek: The Next Generation” and as producer and co-producer on the series Star Trek: Voyager. Authoritative sources reveal that Wendy Neuss hasn’t played any character in star trek series..Apart from these series, she was also the executive producer of numerous TV movies such as "The Lion in Winter"(Lionheart), "King of Texas” and "A Christmas Carol".

In most of these TV movies, her then husband Patrick Stewart was in the lead role. She was the president of the company Flying Freehold Productions which produced these TV movies. Patrick Stewart and Wendy Neuss co-founded this company. Some of her other famous works include the video documentary Michael Jackson: The Legend, TV movie documentary Marvin Gaye, TV Series Life Is Wild and TV Series Brain games.

In 2005, Wendy Neuss grabbed the Golden Globe Award nomination for the best television limited series or motion picture made for television for “The Lion in Winter” TV Movie. 

For King of Texas, Neuss and Stewart won the Bronze Wrangler Award at the Western Heritage Awards for Best Television Feature Film in 2003.

Neuss worked as supervising producer on the animated television series Braingames between 1984 and 1985.

More recently, she worked as post-production supervisor on the comedy series Life Is Wild (2007-2008, starring Stephanie Niznik).

Patrick Stewart Ex-Husband of Wendy Neuss

Patrick Stewart was born on July 13, 1940, in West Yorkshire. He has brown eyes and stands 5 foot 8 inches tall. Alopecia ran in his family, and he became a victim of the disease when he was just 19. Patrick Stewart was discovered for the role of the Captain of the Enterprise by producer Robert Justman. During the pre-production phase of the series "Star Trek: The Next Generation," Justman and his wife happen to visit a dramatic reading at the University of California, Los Angeles. Stewart was also a participant there. Justman later said that he hadn't thought about Stewart until he saw Stewart’s performance on stage. However, after seeing Stewart on the stage, Justman was sure that only he could pay justice to the role of the Captain. 

 

Patrick was 63 when he met Neuss who was then 45, on the set of “Star Trek: The Next Generation” where she was working as the production assistant. They got engaged in the year 1997. But they got married only in the year 2000. It was Stewart's second marriage, but Neuss was taking her first trip down the aisle. Patrick first married Sheila Falconer, who was a choreographer and their marriage ended in 1992 after 24 years. They had two adult children, Daniel and Sophie.Neuss and Patrick also got divorced in 2003 after three years of marriage. The couple had no children. Patrick married for the third time in 2013. This time the bride was Sunny Ozell, who was an American singer and songwriter.

Stewart was involved with Star Trek, for almost seven years. He remained true to the stage during all these years. In 1994, he got two "Laurence Olivier Awards " for his role in "A Christmas Carol''. He was also nominated "best entertainer and "best actor”. There are many more awards, and nominations won by this talented actor. Some of these are Golden Schmoes Awards, Online Film & Television Association awards and Western Heritage Awards.
