Station layout

The station has two elevated island platforms serving four tracks. The station uses a power system based on solar cells developed by the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization.

History

Wakabadai Station was opened on October 18, 1974, as part of the Tama New Town project. At the time, the area was still rural and lacked tall buildings.
