Visa requirements for Emirati citizens

Visa requirements for Emirati citizens are administrative entry restrictions by the authorities of other states placed on citizens of the United Arab Emirates. Emirati citizens do not need a visa to enter other member states of the GCC. They also have the right to take up jobs in those countries. Similarly, citizens of other GCC states do not need a visa to enter UAE. As of 1 January 2017, Emirati citizens had visa-free or visa on arrival access to 121 countries and territories, ranking the Emirati passport 38th in terms of travel freedom (tied with Honduran passport) according to the Henley visa restrictions index. The Emirati passport had the most improved rating in the 2006-2016 time period.

The United Kingdom introduced electronic visa waiver (EVW) on 1 January 2014. Visa requirements for Emirati citizens were lifted by New Zealand (July 1999), Kyrgyzstan (July 2012), Kazakhstan (July 2014), the Schengen Area countries (7 May 2015), Belarus (30 April 2016), Moldova (March 2017).

Vaccination

Many African countries, including Angola, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Republic of the Congo, Côte d'Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Rwanda, São Tomé and Príncipe, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Uganda, Zambia require all incoming passengers to have a current International Certificate of Vaccination. Some other countries require vaccination only if the passenger is coming from an infected area.

Passport validity

Many countries require passport validity of no less than 6 months and one or two blank pages.
