Visitors to Mali must obtain a visa from one of the Malian diplomatic missions unless they come from one of the visa exempt countries.

Visa exemption

Citizens of the following 22 countries and territories can visit Mali without a visa:

Holders of diplomatic and service category passports of China, Cuba and Russia do not require a visa for 90 days.
Nationals of any country with a diplomatic and service passports do not require a visa for up to 1 month.

Visa on arrival

Until 9 March 2015 citizens of most countries were able to obtain visa on arrival. However, they are now required to obtain a visa in advance.
