Vigyan ashram pabal
Vigyan Ashram (Marathi: विज्ञान आश्रम) is a center of Indian Institute of Education (IIE) Pune established by Dr.S.S. Kalbag in 1983. It's modern version of old Gurukul system with 'simple living and high thinking ' like thoughts. Vigyan Ashram developed many new technologies and they are giving training to youngsters everywhere. They are developing new information technology systems. Many Govt and Private organization and individual donor supports the program. Trustees of the Indian Institute Of Education manages Vigyan Ashram. They had started IBT cources in high schools. First batch was started at Shri Bhairavnath Vidya Mandir, Pabal.

Vigyan Ashram is located at Pabal 70 km from Pune.Nearest town is Rajgurunagar on Pune Nasik highway and Shikrapur on Pune-Ahmednagar road. Now in year 2014, Vigyan Ashram IBT course is conducted in more than 100 schools in states of Maharashtra,Chhattisgarh,Goa,Karnataka Vigyan Ashram FABLAB was the first FABLAB in India in support from MIT USA Bits and Atoms Other than IBT,Vigyan Ashram conducts DBRT(Diploma in Basic Rural Technology) which is a one year resident course.This course is mainly in skill development for school and college dropout students in rural areas During this course, students learn things by practically working by hands(Learning While Doing methodology).They learn Agriculture,Electricals and motor rewinding,lathe machine,fabrication,welding,food processing.Out of these multiple skills, students gain mastery in their preferred skills and work on them.Students provide community service using these skills and earn money during this course
Apart from the course,Vigyan Ashram fablab also helps in implementing your ideas .they not only helps people in developing the product but also helps people in learning the technology used in building any product.
