Vigarano Mainarda is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Ferrara in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 40 kilometres (25 mi) northeast of Bologna and about 9 kilometres (6 mi) west of Ferrara.

Vigarano is known in the astronomical community because of the Vigarano meteorite, which fell in 1910 and it is considered the prototype of a class of carbonaceous chondrites known as "CV group" (where the "V" comes from the name Vigarano).
