Ukrid is a village in Chas Tehsil, Bokaro District, India, situated on the NH-23 roadway. Due to development, Ukrid has grown to closely resemble the rest of the Bokaro district.

Geography
Ukrid is located on the city of Bokaro and is 90 kilometres (56 mi) far from Ranchi. It is among the medium-sized villages in Bokaro. Surrounding the village are a co-operative colony, police line, police camp and the Bokaro Steel Plant.
Demographics
Ukrid people adhere to the Muslim faith and the village has one mosque. It hosts an approximate population of 5,000 inhabitants as indicated in the 2011 Census.
History
A village has existed in Ukrid since at least the 15th century; although human habitation has been traced back to 1300, with a widely held belief identifying the use of the area by warriors.
