Ujhana

History and etymology

Ujhana is nicknamed the UJH. and according to historical references and the ancestors there are several myths related to existence of Ujhana's name as Ujhana's earlier name was Loha Kheri and after that it was changed to Ujad Jana and later it was changed Ujhana. Ujhana is a very old village dating from the Mughal's empire who ruled Northern India for more than 300 years and after that British rule was declared over most of the parts of India.Ujhana is a very peaceful village. and earlier name of ujhana village was also " sedda wala ujhana".

Geography

Ujhana is spread over a large area. It borders Haryana and Punjab. The terrain of Ujhana shows great views. Ujhana is located . and lies in Northern India and during British Raj it was adjacent to the province of Punjab and still historically and culturally tied closely to the region of Punjab and Haryana also.

Climate

Ujhana features an atypical version of the Humid subtropical climate. Summers are long and extremely hot, from early April to mid-October, with the monsoon season in between. The months of March to May see a time of hot prickling heat. Monsoon arrives at the end of June, bringing some respite from the heat, but increasing humidity at the same time. The brief, mild winter starts in late November and peaks in January and is notorious for its heavy fog. Extreme temperatures range from −0.6 °C (30.9 °F) to 46.7 °C (116.1 °F).

Civic administration

As of 2011, Ujhana lies in the block of Narwana in Jind district area and the police administration is related to Garhi. As of rumors, Ujhana (Narwana) may be shifted to district Sirsa instead of present district Jind.

The water supply in Ujhana is managed by its Jal Board and is very well managed. Ujhana Electric Supply Undertaking is managed by the UHBVN. BSNL provides tele-services for landline and mobile. Hinduism is the religion of more than 97% of Ujhana's population with surnames SINHMAR , Chauhan (Dudi), Sharma (pandit) Malik, Saini, Chahal, and many more. Hindi, Haryanvi and Punjabi are the principal spoken language while English is used nowadays.

Culture

Ujhana's culture has been influenced by its lengthy history and historic association. Many marvels were built like a great building by a bonding of 6 villages - Ujhana, Nepewala, Koel, Kurad, Dundwa and Ambersar and spreads message - 6 gramo ne milke bandhya dharm ka pala from 1975 and is usually called "thai". And a big and famous temple, called "aasan", is situated near the chowk of Ujhana and is famous for its devotion. A fest is organised every year, in which mahatamas from various places visit the temple.and "dada khera SINHMAR" is famous place in ujhana

Education

Schools in Ujhana are administrated by the government and private institutions also. HBSE administrate a school which is placed just a road apart from NH 71 and is serving education from very last decades. And owns a very good condition in results and building is in very good condition and are under process.
