Chundur Massacre/ Tsundur Massacre is an event in the history of Andhra Pradesh, India. It happened in 1991, in Chundur village in Tenali mandal of Guntur district. In Chunduru, a village a few kilometer away from the town of Tenali in Andhra Pradesh, 13 dalits were massacred by the upper-caste Reddy men in the fields in 1991. When a young graduate dalit youth was beaten up for his feet intentionally touched a Reddy woman in the cinema hall,the dalits of the village supported the dalit youth. As a result, Dalits were socially boycotted by the Reddy landowners of the village. Many dalits have lost their livelihood as they depend on the daily wages by working in the paddy fields of the Reddys. The significance of this atrocity was dalits collectively fought to gain legal justice by invoking SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Act 1989. There had been an active dalit movement in the following years of the atrocity.

212 people have been charged in a total of 12 separate cases per this incident. During the course of the trial, 33 defendants have died.But later the Supreme Court took off the charges citing lack of evidence.
