Tracteur jack en spectacle part 4

Tracteur Jack is a rock duo from Gatineau, Quebec. The two members reside in Gatineau and Quebec City

Contents

Tracteur Jack is known for their high-octane stage presence with minimal instrumentation. They are an autoproduced band, going through every step of the record process themselves, with the occasional exception of mastering. The duo joined forces in 2003 in order to compete in the provincial talent contest "Cégeps en Spectacle", where they won both the jury's and public vote's prizes in Hull, 2004. They like to refer to themselves as "the best band in Old-Hull".

Overview

Tracteur Jack's style can be seen as an association of original québécois songwriting, set in a cinematographic "soundtrack" style, with musical roots in gypsy jazz, rockabilly, French pop and classic rock. Their lyrics are typically cynical and humorous, containing social commentary and vivid imagery.
