Till Tantau (born 1975) is a professor of theoretical computer science at the University of Lubeck. He created the Beamer class for LaTeX, which is widely used for presentations, and the PGF/TikZ package, which is used in the publishing industry for typesetting graphics.

Tantau obtained degrees in computer science and mathematics from Technische Universitat Berlin in 1999 and 2001, respectively. In 2003 he obtained his PhD on "Structural Similarities of Finite Automata and Turing Machine Enumerability Classes".
