Thomas cove


Thomas Cove (64°56′S 63°6′W) is the cove south of Haigh Point, Danco Coast. Surveyed by Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS), 1956-57. The cove is named in association with Haigh Point. Named by the United Kingdom Antarctic Place-Names Committee (UK-APC) in 1985 after Joan Ena Thomas, personal assistant to the Secretary, UK-APC, Polar Regions Section, Foreign and Commonwealth Office, 1948-62.
