Tiruvalla Taluk (alternately spelt Thiruvalla) taluk is a tehsil (sub-district) in the Pathanamthitta district of Kerala, India. The headquarters of the Taluk is at Tiruvalla city itself, which lies almost in the centre of the Taluk. The borders are Pullad on east, Idinjillam on North, Chakkulathukavu on the west, and Kuttoor in the South. The rivers Pamba and Manimala flow through this Taluk. According to the 2011 Census,Tiruvalla taluk has the lowest birth rate in kerala.(10.63 per 1,000)

Tiruvalla Taluk formerly included the present day Mallapally Taluk, which is sometimes known as "Tiruvalla East". The Taluk is noted for its large number of non resident Indian community and a large number of banks. Most of the nationalised banks have at least two branches in the Taluk.

History
