The Sentinel (Guwahati)

The Sentinel is an English daily newspaper launched in 1983 in the city of Guwahati, in the state of Assam, India. It is highly circulated in Assam and loved by people for its language and intellectual notion. It has five editions published simultaneously from Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Shillong, Silchar and Itanagar. It caters to the entire North Eastern region of India. The newspaper was edited for a long time by senior journalist Dhirendra Nath Bezbaruah, former President of The Editors' Guild of India.
