The story follows various characters, including the protagonists, in their intimate private settings. But in the end we discover that the two protagonists (the two 'lovers' in the story, i.e. the 'parents' of the narrator) actually never meet in reality, and the narrator reveals his true identity as the unborn child of the protagonists who could have met, but did not.

The film is shot almost entirely in high contrast Black & White with only a few shots in color. It is characterized by a jerky editing with insertion of random images. The cinematography makes use of extreme close-ups and low-angle shots typical of low-budget independent productions.
