The Death of Uros V is a historical tragedy from 1825 by Stefan Stefanovic and is considered the first original Serbian historical drama in the modern sense of the word and one of the best of the genre. It is based on the motif of folk tradition that the last Serbian emperor Uros (1355–1371) killed by his former associate Vukasin Mrnjavčević (1365–1371) who Uros had previously raised to the rank of co-ruler, giving him the title of king and leaving him rule of state. He further elaborated depicting historical conflicts among the nobility, and Dušan's (king 1331–1346, emperor 1346–1355) sin (murder of his father Stefan of Decani (1322–1331) in Zvecan 1331), for which his soul is not at peace because who arrived on the last Nemanjića God's punishment in the form of Vukašina who takes over and wants to cut off a holy lineage a dynasty.

The drama appears that a series of epic personalities, and historical figures that are mostly given to the character of Serbian folk poetry. Act 3 Scene 1

Act 3 Scene 2
