Tekkalakote also spelled as Tekkalakota (Kannada: ತೆಕ್ಕಲಕೋಟೆ ) is a panchayat town in Bellary district in the Indian state of Karnataka.
As of 2001 India census, Tekkalakote had a population of 23,578. Males constitute 50% of the population and females 50%. Tekkalakote has an average literacy rate of 30%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 41%, and female literacy is 20%. In Tekkalakote, 18% of the population is under 6 years of age. It is an upcoming village now percentage of literacy has increased.

Tekkalakote is north to Bellary and south to Siruguppa town. Tekkalakote lies on Karnataka State highway 19. Tekkalakote is well connected by road to Bangalore, Gulbarga, Hyderabad and other major cities.
