Geography
The city of Tassin-la-Demi-Lune is located in the west suburb of Lyon and takes part of the Metropolis of Lyon.
The city is connected by four train stations : Écully-la-Demi-Lune, Tassin, Alaï and Le Méridien.
Several bus lines connect the city to the subway station Gorge de Loup (line D) : strong lines C21, C24 and C24E, and the normal bus lines 14, 72, 73 and 73E, 86 and 98. The lines 5 and 55 also connected the city to others subway station.
Demography
In 2012, the city has 21 024 inhabitants. The evolution of the number of inhabitants is known thanks to the census reports of the population, done in the city since 1793.
Notable people
French footballer Jérémy Berthod and foil fencer Corinne Maîtrejean were both born there. The musician Woodkid too.
