Tarumanagara University is a university in Jakarta, Indonesia and one of the oldest private universities in the country. It has four campuses in Jakarta. Campus I (main campus) and Campus II are in the metropolitan area of West Jakarta, Campus III is in South Jakarta. A future campus IV site is in Karawaci (a satellite town 30 kilometers from West Jakarta).

The elements of the university symbol are as follows:

  • A furnace with smoldering fire symbolizes the education spirit in Tarumanagara University, where students are shaped to overcome all the challenges in the changing of time.
  • The flame that rises to the top symbolizes the spirit to achieve high idealism; the lateral flame symbolizes the harmony and balance, as well as attachment to the aspired goal.
  • A crown at the top symbolizes scholarship and nobleness.
  • A pentagonal-shape perimeter symbolizes that all activities undertaken in Tarumanagara University are based on Pancasila framework.
