Tanvi Bhatia's Role In Mitwa Phool Kamal Ke

Tanvi Bhatia made her television debut with the prime time daily soap titled 'Mitwa Phool Kamal Ke'. The show showcased honour killing and caste system that is still prevalent in Indian villages. Tanvi portrayed the role of the granddaughter of a Hindu priest in the show. Her grandfather who belongs to a Brahmin family rules the village. He believes in not giving freedom and opportunities to the women in his family and favour his sons and grandsons instead. He is quite lenient towards his granddaughter Bela played by Tanvi but she still is not allowed to enjoy her freedom as much as the other male members of the family. She has supportive parents but her grandfather treats her like an outsider.

Tanvi's character in the show is that of a rebellious young woman who fights for her rights and love. She falls in love with a man from a lower caste named Birju and elopes with him with the help of her parents. But they are caught and hence her grandfather marries her off to another person from a Brahmin family.
Bela doesn't quit and keep fighting for love and her rights in her husband's home as well. She faces a lot of ups and downs but in the end, reunites with her love Birju. After a lot of drama and conspiracies, Bela eventually convinces her grandfather about her and Birju's relationship and manages to change the orthodox mentality of her family.
