Tamara Davis, Ph.D, is an Australian astrophysicist. As of 2016 she is a Professor, and Vice-Chancellor of Research and Teaching Fellow, at the University of Queensland, where she has been employed since 2008.

The Australian Academy of Science awarded her their Nancy Millis Medal in 2015. She was Australian Institute of Physics Women in Science Lecturer in 2011. She received the Astronomical Society of Australia's Louise Webster Prize in 2009.

Tamara has also competed on an international level for Australia at Ultimate Frisbee.

Education

Davis completed her Ph.D in astrophysics at the University of New South Wales in 2004. She also has a BSc in physics and a BA in philosophy.
