T Subbulapuram (Tamil: தி.சுப்புலாபுரம்) is one of the Villages in Andipatti Taluk in Theni District, Tamil Nadu State, India. History

The village is one of the Eight centuries oldest villages in Tamil Nadu. It is a secular village having so many castes living amicably. The initial T denotes that the village comes under Thimmarasanaickanur division. The village has the second largest number of voters in the Aundipatty assembly as well as in Theni Lokh Sabha constituency in Theni District of Tamil Nadu. The main occupations are agriculture and weaving. It is famous for Khadi products. The economy is driven by agriculture, the main crops are rice, cotton, ragi, cholam and vegetables such as tomato, brinjal, drumstick, chillies etc.

Economy

Weaving and farming are the main sources of income for the people of T.Subbulapuram. There are many handloom and powerloom companies in the village.

Important ones are: Sri Kannan kovil; Mallaieswaran Temple; Sri Sandhanamaari Amman Temple; Sri Bhathrakali amman temple; Sri Bhagavathi amman temple, Sri Kandhanatha swamy temple; Sri Thandayuthapani temple; Nalimalai pillaiyar temple; Kaliamman and Vinayaga temples; Sri Kaliammam & Mariamman Temple; Sri Mangaththaiamman Temple; Sri valagurunathan and Angalaeshwari Madasamy Temple; Sri Kaliamman and Vinayaga Temples and also Jakkammal Kovil; Sri Pethanasamy and Sri maalaiammal kovil; Pallan Samuthaya Mariyamman; and Kaliyamman Temple.

    Festivals

    Panguni pongal and Kandha Sashti are very famous festivals in the village. Panguni pongal is celebrated every year during last week of Tamil month Panguni for Sri Bathrakali Amman,Sri Bhagavadhi Amman, Sri Kaliamman.

    Kandha Sashti is celebrated in the month of Karthikai, in the next week of diwali. Kilakku theru Sri Mariamman Temple Festival is contacted by in the month of panguni.

    Sri Sandhanamaari Amman festival (Mulai pari, theechatti, pookkuli) is celebrated on middle or last week Chithirai.

    Krishna Jayanthi (Janmastami) & Manikkasamy swamy pooja are also very famous. Mega yaga pooja & Mega Annathana pooja celebrated grandly. Around more than 3000 people has been participated in this each function. In north street sri kalaiamman festival is conducted in month of panguni. Then Sri Pethanasamy and Sri Maalaiammal Kovil kumbhabhisegam conducted on 24 May 2013 more than 5000 people were participated. Then sri Mangaththai Amman temple 12th-year-kumbhabisegam conducted (11,12 May 2014) more than 3000 people participated. It is a very powerful god. And it is a grand festival which is being celebrated by certain peoples called as kacheyar. One of the most important festivals that is being celebrated is Valagurunathan and Madasamy Temple festival which has been planned to celebrate in the month of May and another important thing is that the festival will be celebrated after 20 years and it is a grand festival which is being celebrated by certain peoples called Vagoorar.

    Facilities

    Good transport facilities to Aundipatty the nearest town. Six minibuses are available (Alagarsamy (Rar), Fivestar, Palani-1, Sivadharani, Annda, Palani-2) and two government buses are also available, a post office is present, as are two banks (South Indian Bank, Indian Overseas Bank), there is a primary health centre, veterinary hospital, library, yoga centre and karate centre. Vaigai Dam is the biggest village in Theni.
