Szychowice [ʂɨxɔˈvit͡sɛ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Mircze, within Hrubieszów County, Lublin Voivodeship, in eastern Poland, close to the border with Ukraine. It lies approximately 7 kilometres (4 mi) north-east of Mircze, 17 km (11 mi) south-east of Hrubieszów, and 118 km (73 mi) south-east of the regional capital Lublin.

World War II
In March 1944, Szychowice was one of hundreds of locales attacked by Polish partisans in acts of ethnic cleansing against the ethnic Ukrainian population. 8 villagers were brutally murdered and 150 houses destroyed.
