Berge made his debut in 1994, as a member of Aedena Cycle with Gaute Barlindhaug (Kolar Goi), Kolbjørn Lyslo (Doc L Jnr) and Torbjørn Brundtland (Röyksopp). The group's first release was the Traveller's Dream EP (12") released on R&S in 1994. In 1997 Berge joined Drum Island alongside Torbjørn Brundtland and Ole J Mjøs. Berge and Brundtland then went on to form Röyksopp in 1998. Their first release as Röyksopp came in 1999 on Tellé Records with the "So Easy" 7" and "Your Hands" on the Beatservice compilation Arctic Circles 2. Berge signed with Wall of Sound in 2000 and Röyksopp released their debut album, Melody A.M., in 2001. He wrote, produced and co-producer a few tracks on the Frost album Melodica in 2002, and in 2003 wrote and produced tracks for Anne Lilia Berge Strand's debut album Anniemal. One of the songs, "Heartbeat", was voted number one on Pitchfork Media's Top 50 Singles of 2004 list. In 2003 members of Röyksopp were possibly behind the Hex Pistols: No Celebrities 7" on Love OD. In 2005, Anneli Drecker's album contained a track produced by Röyksopp. A second album, The Understanding, was released in autumn 2005; a third album, Junior, was released on 23 March 2009 and a fourth album, Senior was released in 2010. Berge has done several remixes for other artists, amongst them artists like Coldplay, Lady Gaga, Depeche Mode and Beck.
