1977-2010
In the November 2010 state assembly elections, Shahid Ali Khan of JD(U) won the Sursand assembly seat defeating his nearest rival Jainandan Prasad Yadav of RJD. Jainandan Prasad Yadav of RJD defeated Baidyanath Prasad of BJP in October 2005 and February 2005. Contests in most years were multi cornered but only winners and runners are being mentioned.
