Subhasree Ganguly (শুভশ্রী গাঙ্গুলী) is an Indian film actress and former model, who predominatly appears in Bengali films. Born in Burdwan, she forayed into showbiz by becoming the winner of Fairever Anandalok Nayikar Khonje. In addition to acting, Subhashree participates in stage shows and is also a prominent celebrity endorser for brands and product and established herself as one of the leading actress of commercial Bengali cinema.

Early and personal life
Subhashree was born and brought up in a joint-family in Burdwan. Her father is a working school clerk and her mother is a homemaker. Subhashree has a sister. She studied at Burdwan Municipal High School and completed her pre-university education from Birla Institute of Technology and Science. Following this, she received M.Sc degree in technology.
Debut, struggle and success
Subhashree made her debut in Oriya films with Mate Ta Love Helare, opposite Anubhav Mohanty. The film, though released amidst immense fanfare and was also touted to be successful, became a crtitical and commercial flop. Subsequently, she made her debut in Bengali films with Pitribhumi in which she played a supporting role. Directed by Prabhat Roy, the film was also unable to fetch her the much needed recognition. Later, that year she appeared in Prabhat Roy's directorial Bengali film titled, Bajimaat, opposite Soham Chakraborty.But she rose to prominence with back to back blockbuster Challenge and Paran Jai Jaliya Re, both with Dev . This commercial success made her a star over night. Subsequently she teamed up with Dev and became one of the most successful pair of tollywood in recent time with hits like Challenge, Paran Jai Jaliya Re, Romeo , Khokababu and Khoka 420. Her pairing with another tollywood superstar Jeet was highly successful as well. Boss ,Game ,Boss 2: Back to Rule have all become box office hits. Her first film with Bangladesh actor Shakib Khan, Nabab ,created sales record in Bangladesh film history and went on to became one of the most successful film in recent times. . At present she is one of the busiest and said to be the highest paid actress in Tollywood.
