Maulana Subhan Raza Khan aka Subhani Miyan is former head of the famous Sufi centre popularly known as Dargah-e-Ala Hazrat, shrine of his great-great grandfather Ahmed Raza Khan, in Bareilly city of India. He is also chairperson of Sunni seminary Manzar-e-Islam. He also edits monthly magazine Ala Hazrat which is published in Urdu language from Dargah. His son Maulana Ahsan Raza Khan Qadri has been appointed present head of the Dargah Ala Hazrat.

Call to boycott Talibani and Wahabi ideology

In the presence of lacs of Sunni Muslims during annual observation of death anniversary of Imam Ahmed Raza Khan (Urs-e-Razwi) in 2014 at the Dargah-e-Ala Hazrat Muslim clerics condemned the terrorism practiced by the Taliban, and the ideology of the Wahhabi sect. The clerics said the world should come together to protest the killing of innocent people in the name of Islam. Ulemas should launch a campaign against the Taliban and the Wahhabis, said clerics.

  • In 2015 he conducted an important meeting of Islamic Scholars at Dargah-e-Ala Hazrat and decided to take steps to end illegal encroachment of Waqf properties belonging to Sunni Barelvis in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
  • In 2015 during a protest against illegal encroachment on Waqf properties, he dubbed SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav as an " RSS agent".
