History
Structube was founded in 1974. Before opening its first store in Montreal in 1980, the company specialized in tubular retail clothing racks. The name Structube is thus derived from an abbreviation of the French term "structures tubulaires".
Structube first opened its doors as a furniture retailer, on the corner of Sherbrooke and Parc, in downtown Montreal, in 1980. Structube has continued to expand and diversify its furniture selection over the years.
Structube released a web series designed to break down some of the taboos associated with manufacturing in Asia. Directed by filmmaker Julien Knafo, the cinematic series “Beyond the product“ endeavours to communicate the relationship between the products, the place in which they are manufactured and the people that create them.
