History
The Spencerville Covered Bridge was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1981.

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 18.01 square miles (46.6 km2), of which 17.95 square miles (46.5 km2) (or 99.67%) is land and 0.07 square miles (0.18 km2) (or 0.39%) is water.
