Synopsis

In the aftermath of the war in Bosnia, a Colonel convicted of war crimes has taken command of the military of the former Soviet republic of Muldonia.

Within a Hezbollah terrorist camp, a U.S. Army private is taken hostage. The individual interrogating him opts to intimidate him using a revolver. Concurrently, a highly trained Special Forces unit breaches the camp's defenses aiming to secure his release. Upon being discovered, they are compelled to engage the terrorists with gunfire. The team rescues the private and flee in a boat back to friendly territory. Which is followed by another mission of rescuing an American journalist. The movie mainly focuses upon the impossible rescue mission.
