Early life and education

Deraspe was born in Rivière-du-Loup, Quebec, Canada.
Career

Deraspe is best known for her 2015 documentary The Amina Profile, an exploration of the Amina Abdallah Arraf al Omari hoax of 2011.

She directed the narrative feature films Rechercher Victor Pellerin (Missing Victor Pellerin) in 2006, Les Signes vitaux (Vital Signs) in 2009 and Les Loups (The Wolves) in 2015. Les signes vitaux won the Borsos Prize for best new Canadian feature film at the Whistler Film Festival in 2009.
