History

The history about Singarajupalem was known from the ancestors that, in olden days there was a king known as Singaraju who ruled that place for many years and so Singarajupalem was named. Singarajupalem was split into 10 wards by the election commission.

Education

In olden days, education was not given much priority here due to many reasons like lack of awareness among the people, less number of schools. But as time changes these were swept away resulting better education to students and awareness among people. It might be surprising to say that nowadays nearly 90% of peoples are completing their education (up to degree/b-tech level). Shifting gears in education has started unknowingly as students are exploring major cities in the country even to foreign countries for their education and survival. Nearly 50% of the educated ones are surviving in major cities like Hyderabad, Bangalore and Chennai. Coming to schools the one and only ZPH (Zilla Parishad High School) was successfully running apart from small convents. In ancient days people used to study here up to their matriculation/10th standard, later for higher education they would migrate to other places. But nowadays many schools and colleges are established in and around this village.

Dependency

As we all know that "Agriculture is the back bone of Indian economy" here people mainly depend on agriculture as their occupation. They cultivate all-most all the cash and commercial crops depending on the climatic conditions and seasons that varies. Firstly cultivation of tobacco is the primary major cash crop that is grown during mid September to mid January.

Next to that water-millon, maize and paddy stood in their respective top positions in terms of area that is cultivated. For cultivation of any crop human resource are much more necessary without which no farming takes place at fields, but here there is no problem regarding the human resources who are abundantly available. Even though human resources are much abundant still machinery for plantation and harvesting are necessary to reduce the traffic. Slowly due to modernization the way of cultivation is also changing.

Political aspects

Smt Kotharu Anantha Lakshmi who belongs to this village was elected as Zilla Parishad Territorial Constituency (ZPTC) member during 2014 elections from the nallajerla mandal on behalf of Telugu Desam Party.

As this village is a part of Gopalapuram constituency, during the 2014 general elections Muppidi Venkateshwara Rao was elected as the Member of legislator assembly (MLA) who belongs to Telugu Desam party from this constituency.Earlier Taneti Vanitha (daughter of Ex-MLA Babaji rao) was elected as MLA from the Telugu Desam party during 2009 general election.

Development

Singarajupalem village is not so developed till year 2015, but after that due to empowerment of people and modernization has led to the development of the village. One can notice a drastic changes in terms of roads and protecting of ponds by constructing embankments around the ponds.Many seva samiti's within the village advances forward and participating in seva programs like helping poor people and school children.
