Overview

Shermco has two strategic business units: The Machine Services Division (MSD) and the Engineering Services Division (ESD). Both divisions are members of their respective Trade Associations. MSD is a member of the Electrical Apparatus Service Association (EASA), and ESD currently holds membership and Board of Directors positions with the International Electrical Testing Association (NETA) and the Professional Electrical Apparatus Recyclers League (PEARL).

MSD, started in 1974, is one of the largest independent service shops in the U.S. for ac and dc electrical rotating equipment. Besides extensive shop repair services, MSD has a Field Services group, Drives/Automation Services, and a Renewable Energy Services group that services the wind power industry.

ESD began operations in 1981 and services the electrical power distribution market, which consists of low, medium and high-voltage electrical power distribution equipment.
