History
Shahbad was known by the name of Simbli,the name was changed by the first Nawab of Shahbad state in the time of King Shahjahan. The first Nawab of Shahbad was Nawab Feroz Khan Khanzada, who belonged to the Rajput clan Jadaunvanshi Khanzada and was the descendant of Raja Nahar Khan of Mewat. After the Partition of India the family of Nawab of Shahbad migrated to Pakistan. Major Nawab Abbass Khan Khanzada was the last Nawab of Shahbad district, Alwar.
