The Link Leaders' most important day is the first day of school when only the freshmen attend (sophomores, junior, and seniors start their school year the next day), they spend the whole day with their groups doing prepared activities with the freshmen students.

Weekday News

The Weekday News is a weekly news program assembled and produced by the Video Production students at Sauk Rapids-Rice High School. The class was advised by Curt Olson until the end of the 2009-2010 school year, after which Curt Olson retired. The job was then taken on by Brian Kemmy. The show aims to inform with news and announcements while entertaining the audience. The program will be going into its fifteenth year during the 2013–2014 school year. Segments include "Heap of the Week," where students show off their worn vehicles, and intervies introducing new faculty, exchange students, and coaches, and notices to raise awareness in local, national, and world current events. They also have a segment that talks about different sporting events and activities that are going on around the school.

The courses are mainly directed toward junior and senior level students, but they are open to sophomores as well.
