Sasural Simar Ka (English: Simar's In-Laws Home) is an Indian soap opera that airs Monday through Sunday evenings at 7:30 p.m. on Colors TV and its sister channel Monday through Friday evenings at 6:00 p.m. on Rishtey. The show premiered on 25 April 2011 and is produced by Rashmi Sharma Telefilms.

It tells the story of two close sisters, Roli and Simar, who fall in love with two brothers, Siddhant and Prem, and live together as daughters-in-law in the Bharadwaj household. After a major leap of 12 years the story follows Prem and Simar as well as their children Piyush and Anjali.

It is aired in Malayalam named Sithara on Surya TV and in Tamil as Moondru Muduchu on Polimer TV.

Plot summary

The story revolves around the two Indian sisters, Simar (Dipika Kakar) and Roli (Avika Gor) marries two brothers, Prem (Dheeraj Dhoopar / Shoaib Ibrahim) and Siddhant Manish Raisinghan) respectively, and how the two sisters become perfect daughters-in-law of the Bharadwaj family.

After a major leap, story focuses Simar (Dipika Kakar / Keerti Gaekwad Kelkar), her husband, Prem (Dheeraj Dhoopar) and their children Anjali (Vaishali Takkar) and Piyush (Varun Sharma) and how the parents helps their children in their married life.

They had done there first ever cross over with kairi-rishta khatta meetha where imarti devi who was a childhood friend of nirmala (mataji) amd enimies with manoranjan (Mausiji) imarti had come for mataji's blessing for anuj and ambika on there marriage sadly they had to leave t the start of the wedding and mataji invited imartis family to sankalps wedding but they never came because imartis husband had arrived and they left

Trishakti

Trishakti was a segment in which three serials were involved. This was not a crossover but each serial was broke down into smaller parts. All serials part were shown one after another. There are total of 9 Trishakti. There are total of 9 Trishakti. Three heroines of the serials were in the main lead in each Trishakti.

Trishakti Episodes

  • In the first Trishakti episode, Thapki (Jigyasa Singh) calls Dhaani (Eisha Singh) and talks to her as they have become friends at the temple in a crossover episode broadcast in February 2016. Dhaani says that she don't know what to choose. Whether her respect or her love. Thapki says do whatever your heart wants you to. Dhaani then thanks Thapki.
  • In the first Trishakti episode, Shraddha asks Thapki to order Laddos from Daddoji Halwai. She calls Simar (Dipika Kakar) and ask her to place her order on her behalf as she hasn't know the shop contact number. Simar says OK. Shraddha scolds Thapki while she is on call. Simar then asks her why the girl was scolding her. She says it is a long story but shortly I am servant at my in-laws in order to unite them. Simar, then motivates Thapki by saying it is very difficult to find such a brave daughter-in-law. Thapki thanks Simar for placing her order.

    • Adaptations

    The show was broadcast by Geo Kahani but stopped after few episodes.It airs on Colors sister channel Rishtey. This serial is also adapted in Tamil by Polimer TV as Mondru Mudichu and as Sithara in Malayalam by Surya TV. The show dubbed Vietnamese in Vietnam by Echannel VTV Cab 5.It was airing in Pakistan on Urdu 1
