Bombardier art mark ii skytrain departs sapperton station
Sapperton Station is located on an elevated portion of the Expo Line, a part of Metro Vancouver's SkyTrain rapid transit system. The station is located in eastern New Westminster and it is anticipated it will serve the redevelopment of the nearby Labatt Brewery site. It was constructed as part of the original Millennium Line project and opened in 2002. For its first 14 years, it was served exclusively by Millennium Line trains, but following a SkyTrain service reorganization in 2016, service through Sapperton was replaced by a branch of the Expo Line running between Waterfront and Production Way–University.

Millennium line from columbia to sapperton station with new skytrain accouncements
Location
Sapperton station is located along Brunette Avenue in the Sapperton area of New Westminster, above a Canadian Pacific right-of-way, on the shores of the Fraser River. It is connected to ground level by a walkway over Brunette Avenue that exits on Keary Street, across from the Royal Columbian Hospital.
History
The station was built in 2002 as part of the Millennium Line. Before the Millennium Line was complete, a short spur from Columbia station was opened in eastern New Westminster as a test track; this spur included the stations of Sapperton and Braid.
Sapperton, like all stations constructed as part of the original Millennium Line, has a unique design. The elevated station contains a mezzanine level connected to the platform level by stairs, escalators and elevators. There are two side platforms, separated by an artwork wheel. There had previously been a stationary bike on the mezzanine level which would rotate the artwork wheel when ridden but was removed after it was vandalized.
On October 22, 2016, SkyTrain service was reconfigured in anticipation of the opening of the Evergreen Extension; as a result, the Millennium Line no longer travels to Sapperton and the station is now served by a new spur of the Expo Line that branches from Columbia Station and continues to Production Way–University Station.
Services
This station provides quick access to Royal Columbian Hospital, one of the oldest and busiest health care institution in British Columbia.
