Overview
Saaxdheer is on the border with Ethiopia. The town lies in the Sahader Valley, due south of Las Anod, the Sool region's capital. The Saaxdheer tuulo was first inhibited in the early 20th century as a camp when the first pool was dug by Saleebaan Mursal in the 1960s. Later, it was sold to Maxamed Sancad and then it turned into the big town it is today. Saaxdheer is the capital of Khaatumo state in Somalia. Sahdheer is better known as hoyga garaadada.

Sahdheer houses are small,old and antient.It is one of the most antient places in sool region, because it has antient houses and history.
The khatumo convention 3
Sahdheer hosted Khatumo Convention 3 that took place in August, 2014. The main result of the convention was to name Ali Khalif Galaydh as the new president and the birth of the Khatumo state of somalia.
the khatumo rule
From August 2014 to late 2015 khatumo government was ruling the town until somaliland's troops entered the town and fired ali khaliif from the town for 1 month.
Under somaliland rule
for 1 month Somaliland was ruling the town with all the people left the town and went to the country cide.After not finishing any goal Somaliland troops left the town returning to Lasanod.
Returning to khatumo rule
After Somaliland troops left it;Khatumo's troops returned to the town with their leader ali khaliif,who stayed in the town until early 2016,
when he left to buhodle and spent the rest of the year in it.
