K R Sachidanandan (Malayalam: കെ.ആർ സച്ചിദാനന്ദൻ ) popularly known as Sachy/Sachi, is an Indian Writer, Theatre Artist, Film Script Writer, Producer (In association with Biju Menon, Shajoon Karyal, P Sukumar and Suresh Krishna under the banner of Thakkali Films) and Director who is well known for his works in Malayalam Film Industry. His collaboration with writer Sethu(Sachy-Sethu) witnessed several super hit movies such as Chocolate(2007), Robinhood(2009), Makeup Man(2011)) , Seniors(2012). He is noted for his engaging and entertaining style of script writing. His first directorial debut was Anarkali starring Prithviraj sukumaran produced by Rajeev Nair under the banner of Magic Moon Productions. Sachy will be associating with 2 movies in 2017. One will be the much waited Dileep starrer Ram Leela and the next is Biju Menon starrer Sherlock Toms directed by Shafi (director).

Personal life

Sachy was born and brought up at Kodungalloor(Thrissur District , Kerala) and is now living at Thripunithura (Cochin, Kerala). He completed his Degree in Commerce from SNM College, Maliankara and further an LLB from Govt. Law College, Ernakulam. He practiced as a lawyer in Criminal Law and Constitutional Law for 8 years in the High Court of Kerala.

Early career

During his college days, Sachy was an active Theatre artist, College Film Society and directed several Amateur Dramas.

Combination with Sethu(Sachy-Sethu)

He started of his venture in Malayalam Industry by collaborating with writer Sethunath. Their debut movie Chocolate(2007) was a huge success which led them to pair few more movies. The next work together was Robinhood(2009) which was directed by ace director Joshiy. This movie too fared well at the box office. Later they teamed up for another comedy entertainer Makeup Man(2011) directed by Shafi. They tasted success for another time with the Comedy-Mystery Film Seniors(2012) directed by Vysakh. The duo went on to split after the movie Doubles(2011) which failed to do well at the box office.

As an individual script writer

After his break off with Sethu in 2011, Sachy continued his career as a writer and delivered a block buster thriller movie Run Baby Run(2012) with Director Joshy which was one the highest grossing Mohanlal movie that year.He later teamed up with Director Shajoon Kariyal for the movie Chettayees (2012) starring Biju Menon, Suresh Krishna (actor), Miya and Lal which also did well at the box office. Another work under progress is debutant Arun Gopi’s Dileep starrer film titled Ram Leela. After the success of Makeup Man Sachy will be associating with Shafi (director) for the comedy thriller film Sherlock Toms starring Biju Menon set to release by Onam 2017.

Career as a producer

His most prominent friend circle includes Biju Menon, Shajoon Karyal, P Sukumar and Suresh Krishna. Their friendship was the major reason that led him to be part as Co-Producer for the movie Chettayees with them under the banner of Thakkali films.

Career as a director

His first directorial venture Anarkali is released on November 13, 2015. The movie will be produced by Rajeev Nair under the banner of Magic Moon Productions. The direction of photography was handled by [Sujith Vasudev] while the music done composed by Vidyasagar. Project designer of the movie is said to be Roshan Chittur and Ranjan Abraham will handle the editing. The movie had Prithviraj, Biju Menon, Mia George and lot of other stars. The movie turned out to be a Super Hit.
