Ryanhood is a two-man band based in Tucson, Arizona, founded in 2004. The Arizona Daily Star has described them as a "Simon-and-Garfunkel like group." In 2009 they won the award "TAMMIES band of the year" in Tucson. The TAMMIES are an annual public-choice music award sponsored by the Tucson Weekly. The band received standing ovations while touring with Jason Mraz on his Mr. A-Z Tour and they've opened shows for American Authors, Train, Five For Fighting, Lifehouse, Mat Kearney, Plain White T's, NEEDTOBREATHE, Tyrone Wells,Jay-Z and Kelly Clarkson. In 2009, Ellen DeGeneres tweeted about the group, stating that she hoped to have them on the show.

In November 2011 the band released an album called "After Night Came Sun".
The band was named "Best Group/Duo" in the 2014 International Acoustic Music Awards for their song "Sickbed Symphony" from their album "Start Somewhere".
