Rumania Montevideo was a Japanese pop-band under Giza Studio label. The band name, "Rumania Montevideo" comes from the combination on the Latin spelling of Romania and Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay.

Biography

In 1998, siblings Mami and Makoto Miyoshi send demo tape to Giza Studio and formed own band with later members joining in.

In 1999, they've made major debut with single Still for your love which ranked fist week #9 rank in Oricon rankings. The song was used as ending theme for anime Detective Conan

In 2000, three members of band - Akiko, Satomi and Kazunobu formed alternative band Ramjet Pulley

In 2002 after releasing 3rd studio album MO' BETTER TRACKS they has disbanded

During their career, they've released 3 studio albums, 2 indies album and 7 singles.
