Royal Air Lao was the national air carrier of the Kingdom of Laos.

History

The company was founded in 1962. In September 1976 the Civil Aviation Company was formed from the merger of Royal Air Lao and Lao Air Lines. Today the successor is Lao Airlines.

Destinations

The main hub was Vientiane Airport. Domestic destinations served in 1975 from Vientiane were Sayaboury, Luang Prabang, Houei Sai, and in the south of the country Thakhek, Savannakhet and Pakse.

International destinations were Bangkok, Canton, Chieng Mai, Hanoi, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Phnom Penh, and Saigon.
