Rohini Sindhuri Dasari (30 May 1984), popularly known as Rohini Sindhuri(Kannada: ರೋಹಿಣಿ ಸಿಂಧೂರಿ)(Telugu: రోహిణి సింధూరి) is an Indian civil servant. She is an Indian Administrative Service officer of Karnataka cadre, from the 2009 batch. Rohini Sindhuri has got 43rd rank in the UPSC exam.She has been working in various departments in her career as an IAS ofiicer.

Early life

Rohini was born on 30 May 1984 in Andhra Pradesh, a southern state of India. She studied B. Tech., Chemical engineering at University of Hyderabad (2003 - 2009). She has selected as an IAS officer in the 2009 batch. Rohini married to Sudhir Reddy, a businessman from Nellore and they have a son. She is fluent in several languages, including Telugu (her mother tongue), Kannada, Hindiand English.

Career

Rohini's first posting as a civil servant was as the assistant commissioner in Tumkur from 29 August 2011 to 31 August 2012. Then she was served as the commissioner of the urban development department of Tumkur from 31 August 2012 to 31 December 2012. Then she worked as the Director of Rural Development & Panchayat Raj Department, Self Employment Project(SEP), Bangalore from 10 August 2013 to 31 May 2014. The next she posted as the Chief Executive officer of the Mandya Zilla Panchayat where she worked for more than one year.
As Chief Executive Officer of Mandya ZP

On 31 May 2014, Rohini posted as the CEO of Mandya ZP . Rohini launched a drive to provide individual toilets to 1.02 lakh households during 2014–15. And, since July last, the administration constructed 80,000 individual toilets across the district which made the district No. 1 in the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in the state and 3rd in India. Rohini successfully utilised the Central government's grant of 65 crore for drinking water and by using this grant, Rohini and her team instituted 100 pure drinking water units across the district. Union government recognized this and provided 6 crore extra for the same purpose. Her efforts to strengthen sanitation programmes in Mandya in Karnataka were positive.
She used to meet villagers early morning to promote to have individual toilets. This programme called Munjane and it received good response and well appreciated.
Recognized by the central government
Rohini's performance in implementing the Swacch Bharat Abhiyan(SBA) in Mandya District, got recognized in the country and she selected by the Union Government as one of the three resource persons to train DCs in New Delhi in 2015.
Presence in KFCSC
Rohini served as the Managing Director of Karnataka Food & Civil Supplies Corporation Limited (KFCSC), Bengaluru, from 16 September 2015.
On 22nd Feb 2019 she was assigned to new post before completing her two year term as Deputy Commissioner of Hassan.
On 20 September 2019 she was again transferred to Sericulture Development for the fourth time allegedly for refusing to use her department funds for flood relief.
Shilpa Nag Controversy June 2021

Karnataka IAS officer Shilpa Nag resigned from civil service at a press conference on 03 June 2021 alleging ‘harassment’ by Mysuru DC Rohini Sindhuri. She accused Rohini Sindhuri of having a personal grudge against her.
Rohini denied the allegations by Nag and said they are totally false and baseless.
On 06 June 2021, the Karnataka state government transferred officers Rohini Sindhuri and Shilpa Nag out of Mysuru.
Bagadi Gautham will replace Sindhuri as the Mysuru deputy commissioner and Lakshmikanth Reddy G will replace Shilpa Nag CT as new Mysuru City Corporation commissioner.
Rohini Sindhuri met Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa on 06 June 2021 at his official residence Cauvery in Bengaluru, she requested him to re-consider the transfer order citing covid related work in the district but the Chief Minister made it clear that it's not possible to revoke the order and asked Rohini to take charge of her new responsibilities.
On 7 June 2021 while speaking to some journalists, Rohini hinted at a larger game of Land Mafia behind her removal.
